So far the cards are the best thing on the market. I have purchased other material, but none of the material met my needs. When I spotted the cards on Amazon, I knew my chances of passes the test were high. When I received the cards in the mail, I was elated because the information is just what I need to help me understand what is on the test.9

I have started studying by these and it is a lot of information. The information is very helpful, however you must pace yourself. Because there is so much information on the back of each flashcard, there is no way to go through these in a hurry. Studying by these flashcards will be a lot of help, you must make the time.

I think your products are wonderful! I am actually the Coordinator of an Elementary Education program in North Carolina. I use the cards to show the students what your products are like and to encourage my students to purchase them for test prep materials. I show them both the reading and the general curriculum cards, as well as the NC test prep book. I try to emphasize the importance of spending $40 to purchase quality materials and to use them to prepare ahead of time so they have a greater probability of passing the first time! It is much more cost effective to spend $40 and prepare than to spend $155 again not prepared!

One of my students last semester did follow my recommended plan by ordering your materials and studying all summer. She passed all three parts of the North Carolina Foundations of Reading and General Curriculum Test the first time she took them!!

The central argument in this book is that texts in various media always borrow, rework, and adapt each other in complex ways; in addition, the authors in this volume explore the specific forces (social, economic, historical, and authorial) that are at work in particular texts and intertexts. Together, the fourteen essays emphasize that adaptations, in the intersections they create across different media, inhabit a sort of cross-fertilization that is both artistically productive and affirmative of difference.
The volume takes as its starting point the assumption that adapters cannot simply “transpose” or transfer one particular text from one medium to another. They must interpret, re-work, and re-imagine the precursor text in order to choose the various meanings and sensations they find most compelling (or most cost-effective); then, they create scenes, characters, plot elements, etc., that match their interpretation. These very relationships are the subject matter this collection seeks to explore. Poststructural theory is an ideal place to begin a rigorous and theoretically sound investigation of adaptation. As adaptation studies adopts a poststructuralist lens and defines this richer notion of intertextuality, some of its key assumptions will change. Adaptation scholars will recognize that all film adaptations are intertextual by definition, mutlivocal by necessity, and adaptive by their nature.
This book brings together innovative, original work from fourteen scholars in the fields of adaptation studies, media studies, and critical theory. It includes essays of theoretical concern in adaptation studies as well as essays that engage with specific single and multi-source adaptations (among them, film adaptations of Jane Austen and James Joyce’s fiction, Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain, David Lynch’s Lost Highway, and George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead). The volume is divided into three interrelated sections: Fidelity, Ethics, and Intertextuality; Literature, Film Adaptations, and Beyond; and Adaptation as Departure. Overall, it promises to help move the study of adaptation from the fringe of critical studies to the more central role it can and should fulfill in the complex contemporary media landscape.

Groundbreaking Collection

Combining essays from leading figures in the field, such as Thomas M. Leitch, with interventions from younger scholars, this book offers a penetrating summary of existing approaches to adaptation studies, plus new frameworks for study centering on context-specific work. At last it seems that the ghost of fidelity might be adequately deconstructed, placing it within a culture and temporally-specific context that tells us more about the person making the judgment than whether target texts are faithful to their source. Definitely worth a place on any adaptation scholar's shelf.

Dry read. Not a writer either. Book for those interested in how enigma machine works... I am disappointed in the content of this book. My fault.... was looking for the implication of the decoding for the strategists of war, How the fact that the Allies did know about Hitler's war planning changed the course of the war... nothing of the sort in the book.

Hot Sweet Sexy Read.

This is a new author for me and I must say that I tottally loved this beautiful, sweet, sexy and all around feel good story. Chris Malone was born into weath but he leaves that lifestyle and his family behind after the death of a close friend. He is a world renowned famous photographer who has returned home to escape the ugly disasters and despair of the world as well as the gore and grief he has spent his life trying to capture on film for the big headline. He desperately needs a diversion and downtime to help get his head back in the game. Enter Ellie Flannery a surburban journalist who has lost her drive for the story. Ellie is bubbly, as well as a spit fire and loves her family. And friends. On a outing to the beach Ellie comes face to face with the Hot Sexy Chris Malone her Idol. She knows that the fundraiser for the Royal Flying Doctor Service she is working on would benefit greatly if she could get one of his photographs for the auction. Chris who is taken back by the beautiful leggy creature that drew him out of the surf takes off when he realizes she knows who he is. As Ellie's goes to eat with her friend she again runs into Chris but this time her friend captures their meeting and his refusal on film before he even knows what the photograph request is for.and the video goes viral. Once he finds out about the media frenzy and what she was wanting his photograph for he wants to make amends and so begins this sweet beautiful sexy storyline. This has a great plot as well as well developed characters. I couldn't and didn't want to put it down. It made me smile laugh and cry. LOVED LOVED IT.

You should never meet your idols. You will only be disappointed. Ellie Flannery just learned this the hard way. Is there something else going on in Chris Malone’s life that has caused him to appear rude to her when they first met?

In this sweet story Ellie meets Chris, a famous photographer. She wants him to donate a photograph for a charity auction she is putting together for the Royal Flying Doctors Service. But she never gets the chance to ask him because Chris brushes her off as fast as he can. He wants to get away from everyone and not be bothered while he is on his break. He seen too many disturbing things in his career and just wants to unwind and relax.

When his picture is posted on Facebook by Ellie’s friend saying how rude he was, it goes viral. Ellie never even got the chance to tell him why she approached him. Now that he knows the reason, he wants to help. One weekend together finds them falling for each other. It was something neither one of them expected it.

I loved the way this story was written. The background of the characters felt well thought out and the story flowed perfectly.

Well I finished this 4th book in the series. Victoria nailed the people in this story. They have taken us on a whirlwind adventure in this story. Ellie won't back down on getting Chris to donate a photo for her latest charity auction. He is rude for wanting to be alone. He is then Social Mediad on the Web. There was a spoiler here. There are lots of ways to help get a photo. Chris will only work with Ellie. He needs someone to pose on being a survivor from the Airlift service needing money. Happy Spoiler here. There is a let down when he leaves for his next job. More spoilers here at the end. This was a quick book to read. It was a well planned story. By the way, keep tissues close at hand. Give this book a shot. It is happier than most. I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.
