DELICIOUSLY CUTE, SERIOUSLY SWEET, DELIGHTFULLY ROMANTIC AND DEFINITELY ENTERTAINING !!!

Wow! I absolutely love it! Craving Her Curves 4 is the fourth book in Nora Stone's Craving Her Curves Series and it is a thoroughly delightful continuation of one of the sweetest love stories I've ever read. And yes, I said series as in multiple parts. Each book is by no means a short story and long enough to be considered a novel but each of the first three books do have a cliffhanger and the books need to be read in the order in which they're published. So readers please be forewarned, if you are looking for a happily ever after in this first, second or third book, you won't find it but you will be happy by the end of the fourth. What you will find is a wonderfully written contemporary romance between a handsome, kind-hearted, down to earth football player and a beautiful, curvaceous, very savvy magazine journalist who are desperately trying to navigate the obstacles of fame and fortune in order to find true happiness with each other and their families and friends. To simply say this series is only about Charlotte and Joey's romance, their friends and family is quite an understatement because it also has a large side order of heartbreak, drama, danger, betrayal, suspense, kidnapping and murder thrown in for good measure. The story is upbeat, well developed, fast-paced, enjoyable, satisfying, sweet, heartwarming, romantic and sensual. It is a delicious slice of contemporary romance with a side order of humor and just a smidge of angst and suspense which I found to be delightfully entertaining. This is not erotica but it does include a very loving relationship and some mild but very tasteful love scenes throughout the series. The dialogue is intelligent, well written and flows well. The characters are the main components of this story and I found them to be smart, funny, captivating, engaging, endearing, well rounded and sexy. Stone skillfully crafts these elements into a wonderfully entertaining and pleasantly satisfying story. Charlotte Rivera is a writer for Pinks, a well known women's magazine based in Dallas. She loves her job and her articles have helped more than a few struggling new businesses and their owners. Her latest assignment has her more than a little perplexed. She is scheduled to interview Joey Parker, a very eligible bachelor and star football player with the Bullets, for the magazine's upcoming Sexiest Guy In Football Feature and she knows absolutely nothing about football. What the heck was her editor thinking? But after meeting Joey, she quickly realizes that there is a lot more to this football player than his good looks and sexy persona. Charlotte is quite taken with the man himself and it seems that Joey is quite enamored with the beautiful, curvy Charlotte. Sparks fly and passions ignite but as in life, there are always challenges waiting to make their presence known and douse the flames of love. In Book One, Charlotte was physically assaulted and kidnapped by a psychotic football fan/stalker who was convinced that Charlotte was evil and did not deserve Joey. After her rescue Charlotte begins to question her decision to date Joey and breaks off their relationship while still in the hospital recovering from her injuries. To help her recover from the residual emotional injuries from her abduction, Charlotte agrees to see a therapist who helps her heal and regain her courage and independence. In Book Two, Charlotte slowly realizes that she is truly unhappy without Joey and apparently, he's just as miserable without Charlotte. He aches for the curvy vivacious journalist and desperately wants her back in his life. Oh my! They find their way back to each other, fall deeply in love and begin a wonderful relationship and it appears, against all odds, they will survive the media frenzy surrounding them. In Book Three, Charlotte discovers she's pregnant and she and Joey finally make it to the altar for their long awaited nuptials. While on their honeymoon, Isobel's new boyfriend, Ryan Haught, writes and releases an expos� on the happy newlyweds and now.....all hell has broken loose! Oh my! He has revealed very private, detailed information that he learned through his "pillow talk" with Isobel. As it turns out, Ryan was only using Isobel to get his story and as soon as it was published, he dropped her like a hot potato. What a creep! Charlotte, Joey, Jacinta, Patrick, Nick, Coach and the entire team are furious. Charlotte, Jacinta and Isobel accompanied by Joey and Patrick finally decide to go to Ryan's apartment to confront him and they find him.....dead.....murdered! Yikes! Was someone furious enough to murder him because of the article? Who would do such a thing! No spoilers from me but I will say this..... Beautiful, talented and very savvy magazine writer-check! Handsome, charismatic football player-check! Large wonderfully written cast of family, friends, teammates and other characters-check! Romance, a forever kind of love, family drama, wonderful friends, lots of humor, an engagement, a wedding, an unexpected betrayal, suspense, murder and a baby on the way-you bet! Whew! That and a whole lot more! If you're looking for a thrill ride, this isn't your book, but if you're looking for a sweet contemporary romance filled to the brim with fun and three close friends who are the modern day reverse gender equivalent of the three musketeers - all for one and one for all - then this is your book! Deliciously cute, completely captivating, seriously sweet, delightfully romantic and definitely entertaining! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Nora Stone at her best!

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and may I say that this one was VERY hard to put down. From the beginning of the story, which picks up from part 3, it was a page turner. I thoroughly enjoyed to twists and turns and one shocking admission, yes you certainly have to read it to know what I am speaking of. The characters have been given even more 'life' and are the very same throughout all the parts of this book.Very true to life in fact.This is not just another sequel, not just another 'series' it is a continuation of good writing thus providing a stimulating read. Thank you Nora, well done...again

***I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*** I loved the other books in this set, but I must say this one was a little slow and predictable to me. Love your writing Nora, but sorry you must have been a little distracted with this one.
This book started off very slowly, the first twist was totally unexpected the second one was sort of expected. Still a good read.

Great story

I loved this story, first because the heroine wasn't a plastic twenty-something and secondly because she wasn't afraid to step into a new situation despite a bad history. Kurt just makes your mouth water and the sparks between the two literally combust on the pages. Delia has big-time trust issues and Kurt is determined to help her bury her demons. This is a wonderful love story, an erotic dream, and a hero and heroine you can fall in love with. The only thing wrong with the story is I wanted more!

Cris Anson is one of my favorite authors, and she certainly did not disappoint with this one. Her books are hot and deliciously sexy. Her books are well-written and the characters are memorable. I love cougar stories!

5 blue ribbons + Recommended Read from Romance Junkies

Older widow Delia Barnes never imagined the black eye she's sporting due to her own clumsiness would ultimately lead to a romantic entanglement with a younger man - and a Dom at that! It's an erotic romance convention so it just makes sense for Delia to shrug off her injury with the comment "I didn't say `Yes Master' quick enough." What she doesn't expect is to be overheard by a real Dom who believes a new Master is exactly what she needs - and he's more than willing to fill that role.

Dom Kurt Reinhardt is already in a sour mood when he overhears Delia's explanation about her black eye - and it rubs him the wrong way. His being at the hotel has nothing to do with the convention; instead he's in town on business and honestly couldn't care less about the ad he just pitched to potential clients. His friend and business partner Logan is all kinds of excited about the convention since in his mind that means there's all sorts of potential for wild hot sex, but Kurt just isn't interested. He hasn't been interested in being with a woman in three long years, not since Gina...

Kurt might have thought he wasn't interested in getting romantically involved with new woman but Delia's comment and her infectious laugh just beg for a little one on one attention. His offer to `show you how a true Master treats his property' might have been blown off if Delia's friends hadn't encouraged her to accept his invitation - all for research of course. The trouble is that she's torn between her desire for Kurt and her sense of propriety. There's also their age difference to consider. Delia's positive she's in over her head with Kurt, but his attentive behavior and sex laden phone calls have her wanting more of him. She's brave enough to accept his challenge and enjoy his tutelage as a Master - until an innocent mistake and the consequences threatens to destroy the trust he's worked so hard to gain.

Cris Anson really impressed me with WHAT SHE NEEDS. This is one of those stories that gets your heart racing and other body parts tingling - and that's just the physical reaction. Kurt's dominant nature is the perfect accompaniment to Delia's curious and open-minded demeanor. I think one of the hottest things about this story is simply the way Kurt talks to Delia. His voice resonates through the pages and had me wanting to call him `Master.' Of course there's conflict - isn't there always? But in this case, it's due to personal issues from Kurt and Delia's past and overcoming them isn't exactly as simple as saying `I'm sorry.' WHAT SHE WANTS is a truly beautiful story with just the right amount of heat, light hearted fun, and emotional angst to deserve a place of honor on your e-reading bookshelf.

Doesn't help you learn anything

I completed the Java in 24 Hour book, which was quite helpful. So I picked up this book to get me started with Android development thinking it would be of similar quality. Forget it. I have been working with this book for about 6 weeks and have not yet complete Hour 4. This is not the book for anyone trying to learn Android. For example, in Hour 2 there is no mention of why the code you copied from the book is getting errors (you need to do imports). That's okay in Hour 8 maybe, but not Hour 2. Also the example code which you may or may not be able to find on the Sams website does not include all the code needed to complete the activities at the end of the chapter.

I have been a programmer for more than 20 years, so it's not that I'm unfamiliar with programming concepts.

I really want to throw this book out the window, but hope Amazon will take it back instead!

Errors or omissions in code examples

Many of the examples in the book are either incomplete, or contain errors! Unless you already know Eclipse and Java (in that case, why are you buying this book?), you are going to be very confused. On the up side, this book will not let you just copy the code examples and not learn the language. You are going to do enough research to find the correct coding that you WILL learn Android Application development. (e.g. Better plan on about 10 hours for lesson 2.) I bought the Sams "IOS6 Application Development" and it was OUTSTANDING! I used it and was able to develop an iPhone app. I found none of the issues with it, that are in this book.

I enjoy using this book.

I seem to keep coming back to the Sams "24" hr books when I need to learn programming. For me, the "24 hours" is more like "24 days", but their structure breaks down tasks and teaches in a very modular way that I relate to. I use these books both as a tutorial and as a reference.

About the Author
Lee E. Brown is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is on the NSCA board of directors. He is also a certified health fitness instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and a certified club coach by USA Weightlifting Federation (USAWF). Brown holds a master’s degree in exercise science from Florida Atlantic University, and he expects to receive a doctorate in educational leadership from the same institution in the summer of 2000. Formerly a high school physical education teacher and coach of many sports, Brown now teaches advanced strength and conditioning courses and serves as a health sciences lab coordinator at Florida Atlantic University. He lives in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Vance Ferrigno is the director of fitness and aquatics at Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida. In addition, he has been a strength and conditioning consultant to professional and amateur athletes since 1990. He is certified through ACSM as a health fitness instructor (HFI) as well as a health fitness director. He is also a CSCS through the NSCA and a USAWF Club Coach. Ferrigno, who earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Florida State University, assists in developing and teaching the curriculum for a strength and conditioning course at Florida Atlantic University. He resides in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Juan Carlos Santana holds a master’s degree in exercise science from Florida Atlantic University and is working on his PhD in exercise physiology at the University of Miami. He is certified by the NSCA (CSCS) and the ACSM (HFI). Santana also holds coaching certifications with USA Weightlifting and USA Track and Field. He is a member of the NSCA Conference Committee and chairs the NSCA Sports Specific Conference. Santana has been a national competitor and coach in five different sports throughout his 20-year athletic and coaching career. He now lectures internationally and directs Optimum Performance Systems, a Florida company that consults for various equipment companies, athletic teams, and private clients. Santana lives in Boca Raton, Florida.

Nice Reference Book

This book provides the most comprehensive list of drills for speed and agility that I've seen yet. The included DVD which contains examples on how to perform some of the drills is nice also. The book & DVD are a great value. Here are my pros:

1.comprehensive number of drills
2.nice photos
3.DVD
4.example training programs provided for many sports

Here are my cons:

1.Lacks certain details for the beginner or non coach. Before beginning a program for improving speed, agility & quickness, the book strongly recommends an assessment of your current levels of strength, movement and fitness needs. The book provides what exercises should be performed to assess your current levels, but I wish norms or metrics would have been provided for the assessment exercises. If I must perform single-leg body weight squats to assess my functional strength, how many must I perform to determine whether my strength is adequate or deficient? This is not provided. Page 16 provides all of the assessment exercises, but they all lack the metrics or norms for acheivement.

2.As comprehensive the list of drills are, I found that some of the descriptions on how to perform the drills were lacking. Only a single photo is provided along with a relatively short description on how to perform the drill. There are many drills that just can't be adequately described through written instructions. This is insufficient when proper technique and form is essential to performing the drills. I found myself going to Youtube for videos on some of these drills.

3.With number 2 being said, the DVD should have had videos of all of the drills contained in this book. It only has 66 of the 195 drills.

Besides those deficiencies, I still think this is an excellent resource and provides all the drills I would ever need for tennis training. I give 4/5 stars for the 3 cons mentioned above.

As an Adult Literacy Tutor I find this book an invaluable tool. The information covered is concise yet covers a broad range of grammar mechanics. It is written in a way that is easy to understand. I use it myself to check tricky grammar points.

I recommend this book for all English teachers and anyone that cares about writing well.

Another starring role for Jim Williams

This beautifully illustrated book was assembled by Dorothy Williams Kingery, Jim Williams' sister. Jim Williams, the central character of the bestseller Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, was a charismatic, multi-talented, antique dealer-restorer-musician-artist-interior decorator. He restored 60 or more houses and buildings in Savannah, Beaufort and other places in the area. He was imaginative and bold. Much of the text was written by Jim Williams, some, if not most, while he was imprisoned. His writing skills are equal to his artistry. This book is a marvelous companion to "the book" as Savannah residents refer to Midnight, which showed Williams as a complex human being but couldn't really do justice to his genius.

The previous review captured my feelings with precision.As Jim could captivate the client or friend,this book draws you in to the web that is Williams and Savannah.The love of beauty,as jim lived his life,makes the world around you a better place for all.This book,as a companion to the "book",will give you the desire to embrace Savannah with your whole heart and soul.You will wish with heavy heart that you could have known Jim-but you can get a real taste with this book.BIGGEST problem is getting the book.Pretty much have to go to Savannah,but that's no bad thing
